About Liz .... |
Liz developed an early affinity with a wide range of music, having been raised within a musical family. She studied piano and dance, and early forays into singing were with a Sixties ‘pop’ vocal group. A strong empathy for jazz, influenced by artistes such as Julie London, Peggy Lee, Blossom Dearie and Chet Baker, prompted Liz to develop her own individual style and repertoire. |
Liz furthered her studies at Wavendon and the popular Grafham Water Jazz Weekends, developing a firm overall grounding in jazz with tutors such as Michael Garrick, the late, great Marion Montgomery and the illustrious Norma Winstone, and realizing her long-held ambition to sing “gentle jazz in cosy bars”. |

She has since made guest appearances on several local radio stations and has performed in venues throughout East Anglia. Her smooth, intimate style and the warmth and clarity of her voice have won the appraisal of audiences and fellow-musicians alike. |
